About Rexford, New York

Rexford, New York, is a hamlet of the Town of Clifton Park, located on the western side of the town and on the northern side of the Mohawk River in Saratoga County

Rexford is named after Edward Rexford, who settled this area once called "Rexford Flats".  Like many once rural communities, this hamlet once had a two room schoolhouse on the site of the current Stewarts Shop at the corner of Route 146 (Balltown Road) and Riverview Road.

From 1901 through 1933, a well known amusement park in Rexford offered rides, games and summer refreshments.  There were trolley's that brought people from the City of Schenectady to enjoy the many offerings during the summer.  The park had several names including "Luna Park", "Dolle's Park", "Colonnade Park", "Pallisades Park" and, of course "Rexford Park".

Rexford is served by the award winning Niskayuna Central School District.

Rexford offers a variety of housing styles ranging including Colonial styled homes, Ranches, Cape Cod's and many others.

If you enjoy outdoor recreation, The Edison Club, is a member owned club, offering a superior 27 hole course, swimming, tennis, banquet and meeting facilities.

Bowman Orchards is a Capital Region favorite on 98 tree filled acres.  They feature pick your own apples during the fall harvest, berry picking and many seasonal activities.  And, yes, they are pet friendly!
